Just Thinking Out Loud | NFL Week 7 Notes

- Talk about a statement game. Coming off a thrashing at home against Green Bay, the Texans just straight punched Baltimore in the face and showed that they really are the better Ravens like we said in our NFL previews.
- Did someone else suit up as the NY Jets and travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots? They were a completely different team. Outside of a really ugly INT, Mark Sanchez played his best game of the year I thought and the Jets were playing inspired football. Rex Ryan definitely has not lost this team at all and maybe that Monday night game against the Texans gave this team a little bit of a spark plug the rest of the way.
- The two worst defenses in the league squared off in Buffalo and fully lived up to the hype. The Titans won 35-34, but it’s the way they did that was just brutal from a Buffalo perspective. The Bills were up 6 with under 4 minutes to go and rather than running the ball, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a brutal INT and then the Titans went on to score a touchdown on 4th and 9 with 1:03 left in the game. Bills fall to 3-4, they’re done.
- I’ve been saying for a while that Eli Manning is arguably the best in the league, now I’m saying he IS the best in the league. If he’s in that elite class and when it’s under 2 minutes there’s nobody better, why would you take anyone over him?
